The Dakota Purse is a large leather crossbody purse that is packed with great features. It has one interior pocket with a divider to help keep things accessible and organized. The front of the purse has two side-by-side pockets. It is the perfect place for your phone! We adorn the front pocket of the Dakota Leather Purse with a genuine buffalo nickel. The Dakota has a one inch wide strap that will rest comfortably on your shoulder. You can also use the real brass buckle on the shoulder strap to adjust to the perfect length. Solid Brass Zipper

The Dakota Purse features a solid brass zipper (nickel plated brass on the black purse) that will keep your belongings safe and secure. We use one of the best and strongest zippers there is, so you can open and close this purse time after time and know that it’s going to hold up.

Adjustable Strap

You can get this purse sitting on your shoulder at just the right height with this adjustable strap. The strap on this purse has five holes spaced approximately one inch apart so you can adjust this strap up to 5 inches. This adjustable strap very durable because it’s made from full grain leather.

Phone Pocket

We added a phone pocket in the Dakota Purse because you use your phone every day, and you use it often. Taking it in and out of the main pouch can be time consuming and annoying. Besides, your phone can get scratched in the main pouch. That’s why we’ve added two pockets on the front of this purse. Pictured in the pocket is an iPhone X, but it will hold many phone sizes including iPhones, Androids and more.

This creates leather that ages beautifully and develops a rich patina through use, not chemicals. With just minimal maintenance, your wallet, purse, or belt will stay supple, strong, and handsome for years to come.

Routine Leather Care Tips
For everyday full-grain leather care, keep your item clean and dry. A light wipe with a soft, dry cloth removes dust and surface dirt—no soaking or harsh cleaners required. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat, which can dry natural oils and make the leather stiff. If you live in a hot, arid climate, you may apply a very light coating of a clear, neutral shoe cream after testing it on a hidden area. This helps replenish moisture lost to dry air while preserving the natural finish. Do not use mink oil, shoe polish, or saddle soap—these products can clog pores, darken unevenly, or damage the leather’s breathability.

How to Condition Full-Grain Leather
Occasional conditioning is optional, but it can enhance longevity. If your leather begins to look dull or dry, apply a small amount of leather balm or Venetian shoe cream using a clean cloth. Work in gentle circular motions and allow it to absorb overnight before buffing lightly. Once or twice a year is enough—over-conditioning can cause buildup or dark spots. Leather “Blooming”
Our leather is real, and real leather has natural oils in it. Unlike poor leather goods that you need to condition often, our leather is full grain leather and retains its natural oils. If a product sits unused for some time, some of those oils might “bloom” out of the leather. This is normal – it’s one sign you have good leather. Just take a dry cloth and rub it on the leather in a circular motion to “buff” it, just as you would if you were using a leather conditioner. This will move the natural oils back into the leather (and onto the cloth you use to do this).
