We offer a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to return it to us for a refund or an exchange.

We have decades of experience fitting Birkenstock, Dansko and other brands of footwear here at our retail store in Lawrence, Kansas. We enjoy helping our customers find just the right solution to fit their needs. Because we also repair Birkenstock footwear, we know all sorts of tricks to make the break-in process more comfortable for you.
We want your experience with us to be like an old-fashioned shoe store, only more convenient. Take advantage of the small-scale nature of our shoe business. You are not a number to us.
Return procedure
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with its original packaging. Please include a copy of the original invoice along with the completed return form, which can be found on the back of the invoice or printed here.
You are responsible for the cost of shipping your return to us; you may use your preferred carrier and shipping method. Insurance is your choice, and opting not to insure is your risk. Our responsibility begins once your return package is delivered to us.
We will cover the cost of shipping your exchange item back to you if it does not meet our free shipping minimum. See the Exchanges section for details.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on used footwear, custom-modified footwear (such as a lift added), or gift cards. Because we are an independent, locally-owned business, we can only accept returns of items purchased here at our store in Lawrence, Kansas or on our website, footprints.com.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have for a refund, and make a separate purchase for the new item. Many items meet our free shipping minimum of $120, however if you are exchanging for an item that is less than this amount, please email info@footprints.com and we will remove the shipping charge from your exchange order.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take up to 10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
